The ideal candidate will have significant experience in environmental and/or toxic tort litigation, with a background in science or medical issues being advantageous. This role will involve handling complex litigation matters, including class actions, false advertising, unfair business practices, and environmental compliance issues.Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct legal research and analysis on environmental and toxic tort issues.Advise clients on compliance with environmental regulations and chemical regulations.Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.Manage and respond to discovery requests strategically.Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial testimony.Assist with trial preparation and participate in courtroom proceedings.Engage in business development activities to cultivate client relationships and expand the firm's practice.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Illinois State Bar and active membership in good standing.4-5 years of relevant experience in environmental litigation, toxic torts, product liability, and/or class actions.Background or strong interest in science, medical issues, or related fields.Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to manage complex litigation matters independently and collaboratively.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.Preferred Skills:Experience with environmental compliance and chemical regulation matters.Familiarity with regulatory agencies such as the EPA and state environmental departments.Prior experience in business development and client relationship management.Benefits:
