May 02, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern TimeThe Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise in the area of quality improvement, safety, health equity, and process improvement is valued. Successful candidates should be dynamic and collaborative and exhibit successful leadership skills. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. Rank will be commensurate with experience.Teaching responsibilities may include an active role in the training of medical students, residents, and fellows, including participation in the formal curriculum.Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient and/or ambulatory care in obstetrics and gynecology or a subspecialty of Ob/Gyn depending on the candidate's expertise and interests.The responsibilities of the Vice Chair of Quality, Safety, and System Integration will include:Oversee efforts to improve the culture of safety and continuous quality improvement.Work with the Women's Health Clinical Effectiveness Teams, Ob and Gyn QI committee chairs, and the OB Patient Safety Committee, faculty, and residents to develop and implement quality and safety initiatives, and to develop clinical guidelines and pathways to improve the quality and delivery of care.Work with the Women's Health Integration Council to ensure consistent quality measure tracking and clinical guideline implementation across the health system.Assist the chairs at HUP and PAH with the development and implementation of risk reduction initiatives (RRI).Serve on the departmental claims review committee and senior departmental committees.CPUP risk reduction committee/Vice Chair of Quality and Safety CPUP committee.Serve on the departmental claims review committee and senior departmental committees.OPPE/FPPE coordination with appropriate division chiefs.Co-chair Ambulatory Quality Council.The University of Pennsylvania is a highly collegial academic community, and faculty members are encouraged to engage in collaborative and interdisciplinary studies.We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense.
