About the Role Responsible for administering key chemical compliance & sustainable chemistry initiatives and ensuring those initiatives are aligned with relevant domestic and international chemical regulations. Duties include overseeing Gap Inc.’s Restricted Substances List (RSL) program; monitoring the regulatory landscape for emerging trends and new regulations; developing technical resources or guidelines for internal business partners and/or suppliers; and contributing to product- and supply-chain focused projects aimed at advancing responsible chemicals management in the apparel & footwear value chain.

This role sits within the Global Sustainability team and is part of the Environment & Product Sustainability group. The role will require cross-functional collaboration, primarily with Product Safety & Regulatory, Legal, and Sourcing teams, and others as deemed necessary. Chemistry knowledge is required; knowledge of the chemical regulatory landscape and experience with textile chemistry and sustainability is preferred. What You'll Do

Maintain the Gap Inc. Restricted Substances List (RSL) & related policies and manage administration of the Gap Inc. RSL Testing Program. Critical responsibilities include:

Provide oversight of Gap Inc. RSL Testing.Review RSL test reports; provide technical assessments & escalate issues when needed.Review & evaluate vendor corrective action plans (CAPs).Maintain testing datasets and periodically share insights with internal stakeholders.

Identify key business risks and opportunities related to chemistry and chemicals management, including by monitoring regulatory developments in the space; and work cross-functionally to adapt Gap Inc.’s chemicals strategy in alignment with Gap Inc. and brand priorities.Represent Gap Inc. in AFIRM Group and other relevant industry initiatives as needed.Support Brand sustainability and innovation goals related to chemicals & chemical processes.

Research and help frame sustainable chemistry recommendations & strategies.

Support Supply Chain teams by providing subject matter expertise related to chemicals used in production and industry best-practices.Who You Are
