Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Florida, seeks an exemplary leader to serve as Chief, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the Haley Center for Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders.

The Organization:

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children (OHAPH) has 156 beds. Caring for its patients are more than 150 pediatric subspecialty physicians and 65 advanced practice professionals in various specialties.

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital also has a pediatric residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) comprising 42 pediatric residents. The program is built upon the strengths of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital and a passion to develop the next generation of pediatric physicians.

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital consistently has been recognized as a national leader in pediatric care. Since 2008, the hospital has been ranked on the U.S. News & World Report's Best Children’s Hospitals list in multiple pediatric specialties.

The Opportunity:

The new Division Chief will manage resources and foster an atmosphere conducive to faculty development, education, and clinical productivity while providing outstanding clinical care for patients. Responsibilities include programmatic growth and enhancing the regional and national reputation of the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology program.

The Division Chief will oversee budgeting, staff management, patient services, and other functions relevant to effective division management.

The Department:

The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital (OHAPH) sees approximately 10,000 patient visits annually. Specific programs include Neuro-Oncology, Hemophilia, Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy, Sickle Cell, Oncofertility, and Cancer Survivorship.

The Division has eight exam rooms and two procedure rooms in clinic and 20 inpatient beds dedicated to pediatric hematology/oncology.

The Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven record in clinical care, research development, and/or administration within Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

Education/Certifications:

MD or MD/PhD with a track record of professional leadership roles in the field of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

Board Certification and fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

Must be eligible for licensure in the State of Florida.
