Drafting Technician

will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to provide exceptional services to VA Palo Alto Healthcare System (VAPAHCS) in Palo Alto, CA. You will be responsible for assisting in the planning and development of an equipment plan and associated infrastructure requirements to support all medical equipment for hospital construction projects. This involves utilizing technical drafting skills to create accurate and precise drawings and plans.Job Description:Provide detailed and accurate technical drawings, plans and blueprints using AutoCAD/Revit softwareCollaborate with interior designers and medical equipment planners and other professionals to gather information and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and other data to create comprehensive and accurate draftsOrganize and maintain a systematic filing system for all drafts, ensuring easy retrieval and referenceAssist in the creation and maintenance of a digital database for drawings and related documentsReview and verify the accuracy and completeness of drawings to meet established standards and guidelinesConduct thorough checks to identify and rectify errors or discrepancies in draftsProvide regular updates on the progress of drafting projects and address any concerns or modifications promptlyKeep updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in drafting techniques to enhance skills and knowledgeActively engage in fostering continuous improvement at workOther tasks that may be assignedDuties and Responsibilities:Minimum of three (3) years or more experience in the drafting of interior design or architecture for commercial and industrial buildingsProficiency with AutoCAD and/or REVIT is requiredAbility to interpret Architectural/Engineering plansAbility to review drawings for completeness and accuracyAbility to obtain and assemble data to complete FF&E drawing documents and visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessaryAbility to work with interior designers & medical equipment planners regarding drawing documentation standardsAbility to handle complex designing and drafting assignments under minimal supervision.Why Planate?Planate Management Group is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
