Electric Power Systems, Inc. is a unique company offering a wide range of experience and education in the area of power system operations, design, consultation and studies. We provide extensive services from planning studies, design and construction, to periodic testing and maintenance. We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Power System Electrical Engineer to join our Alaska team.Responsibilities:Develop and manage complex Excel spreadsheets and analyze a variety of data.Work with other subject matter experts in substation design, power system studies, protection and coordination, diesel power plant.Serve as a technical lead project manager in a company of over 40 professional engineers.Direct other engineers in analyzing low voltage, medium voltage power systems, designing substations and power plants in unique environments, and project management.Prepare reports using Microsoft Word.Develop proposals and project schedules.Manage own projects and direct others, including tracking project data requests, data submissions, progress submissions to clients and comments from clients.Requirements:Must be a team leader.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Experienced in project scoping, estimating, and detailed electrical design.Experience in management and technical lead for entry-level engineers.Strong computer skills in Microsoft applications.Software experience in AutoCAD, Mathcad, SEL, Woodward, Comap, Basler, GE, ETAP, EasyPower, SKM, and PowerWorld.Microgrid, power plant or utility experience is a plus, but not required.Capable of project site visits and project scoping with clients.Ability to work independently and on multidiscipline engineering teams.PE Registration required; ability to obtain an AK PE within 6 months.Benefits:
