Lead Cyber Risk Analyst/Auditor – $90-110K Plus 10-15% Bonus & 4% Pension

ACCsurance is currently working with a Fortune 500 Client and one of the largest employers in downtown Chicago looking for their next Cyber Security Analysis/Audit Lead. This person will conduct platform or operating system vulnerability scans to assess exposure of systems to attacks or hacking and respond to questions regarding viral activity, concerns about spam/phishing, etc., and produce the related reports. They will serve as the organization’s POC for the third-party certification of security procedures and use of cyber security protections, ensuring that the system’s security controls, policies, and procedures are examined, measured, and validated against third-party standards. This person will be responsible for the design, planning, and implementation of test strategies to support the core infrastructure in the contingency environment for all critical business applications to ensure business continuity in the event of a major business interruption or disaster.
The candidate will lead projects with 2-3 levels of Cyber Security Analysts under them as related to technology refresh/evaluation such as Load Balancing and SSL technology, as well as research corrective measures (long-term solutions) needed for any chronic issues identified that compromise the security of particular systems or platforms. The candidate will participate in developing and testing new methodologies and systems for recovery of the critical core business processes and the enterprise infrastructure and serve as technical lead or project lead in projects involving testing defenses against hacking, denial of service, spam, break-ins, or related attacks. The Cyber Security Analysis Lead will provide technical guidance to less senior staff or applications developers/systems administrators.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 4-5 years of IT auditing and systems experience with a focus on information security and cyber security controls (e.g., NIST Cyber Security Framework controls). Solid knowledge of audit procedures and technical security and control standards usually obtained through related work experience and a four-year degree program is required to perform system audits. Skills as needed to perform testing of design and operational effectiveness of application controls (e.g., Interface Controls). Knowledge of the operations, functions, and objectives of interfacing areas is required to properly audit operations, services, systems, workflow, and operational impact on other areas. Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of the business unit/function. Knowledge of systems software applications and databases common to the mainframe and distributed environments, such as UNIX, iSeries, and Windows is a plus. Understanding of networks, routers, and firewalls. Certified Information System Audit (CISA) certification is preferred. Additional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other related certifications (CRISC, CISM) are a plus.
