Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a skilled Trademark Associate Attorney to work closely with clients in developing strategic approaches to managing, growing, and protecting their brands. The successful candidate will ensure that effective brand management and global enforcement programs are established before marks launch.Duties:Work closely with clients to develop strategic approaches to managing, growing, and protecting their brands.Implement successful brand management and global enforcement programs before marks are launched.Conduct clearance searches for trademarks.Enforce trademarks through appropriate legal channels.Provide counseling to clients regarding trademark strategy in the United States and internationally.Requirements:2-4 years of experience in trademark law.Strong understanding of trademark clearance, prosecution, enforcement, and brand/portfolio management.Excellent judgment and communication skills.Commitment to providing exceptional client service.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission on motion.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Proficiency in legal research and writing.Knowledge of trademark law in the United States and abroad.
