Shift: 8 or 10 hr shifts for experienced Surg Tech.Schedule is day shift, with weekend, holiday and call rotation.
The hospital's Operating Room within a Level 1 Trauma Center embraces a collaborative team environment, providing the opportunity to learn complex procedures in all specialties. A clinical ladder for Surgical Technologists is also offered.
Responsibilities:Assists the surgical team during operative procedures. Arranges and inventories sterile set-ups for operations, and hands items as needed to the operative team. Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the operating rooms. The Surgical Technician is responsible for the provision of surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Requirements:
Post High School Diploma Program
Graduate of a Surgical Tech program - required.
BLS certification.
Must have at least 1 full year of Surgical Tech experience to be considered.
Must have graduated from a Surgical Technology program, and if not certified, must meet state guidelines for exemption.
