Excellent Benefits Package, participates in the NHSC Loan Repayment Program.Seeking an experienced APRN|NP for an Adult Medicine clinic. The APRN|Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive primary health care including health promotion and disease prevention activities for patients. The incumbent provides specialized care in collaboration with department physicians and refers patients to consultants for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment procedures as appropriate.Medical Specialty:
Primary CareResponsibilities:
Provide comprehensive primary health care.Collaborate with department physicians and refer patients as appropriate.Maintain timely, thorough, and accurate written clinical documentation.Make evidence-based clinical decisions and comply with quality measures.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and completed an approved nurse practitioner program.Possess valid State of Connecticut licensure.Have or be eligible to obtain DEA and state narcotic registration.Deep knowledge of nursing or physician assistant theory and practice.Ability to provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population.Skill in taking medical history, assessing medical conditions, and interpreting findings.Proven success in effective communication with patients and peers.Comfortable using electronic health records and computer systems.1-2 years’ experience in an ambulatory setting or providing urgent care preferred.Language:
Ability to speak Spanish preferred.Minimum Education:
Master's DegreeLicense/Certification:
APRN or PA License in the state of Connecticut (Preferred).
