Professional, supervisory, administrative and technical work over a major centralized functional unit at the Sewerage and Water Board. Work includes planning, assigning and reviewing the work of professional, technical and clerical employees. Work also includes assisting higher level supervisors in establishing and monitoring management controls for assigned operational area and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations pertaining to Board operations where applicable; and related work as required.
This position serves as principal assistant to the Utility Services Administrator relating to the treatment and purification of the City's water supply; and related work as required.(Entrance)
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology or Chemical Engineering.Five years of professional administrative experience in water purification operations. At least one (1) year of this experience must have been at the exempt (salaried) level and have included supervisory responsibilities over other employees performing water purification functions.Current Class Four (4) Water Treatment certification issued by the Louisiana Department of Health.
