Our client, a growing Non-For-Profit Health Center located in Chicago, has a staffing need for a direct hire full-time experienced Financial Controller with FQHC experience.

Experience managing finances for a FQHC is required and a CPA is highly preferred.Job ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management:

Oversee all financial aspects of the FQHC.Compliance:

Assist in achieving Federally Qualified Health Care (FQHC) status by ensuring compliance with HRSA accreditations, federal regulations, and other applicable guidelines.Revenue Cycle Management:

Work closely with the finance team to optimize billing and collections processes. Monitor cash flow, review financial statements, and prepare reports to track revenue generation and ensure timely reimbursement for services rendered.Grant Management:

Participate in grant writing, obtaining grants, and managing grant funds. Ensure compliance with grant requirements and prepare necessary reports for grantors.Budgeting and Forecasting:

Collaborate with senior management to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Provide guidance and support to department heads throughout the budgeting process and monitor budget performance against actual results.Financial Reporting:

Prepare financial reports for senior management, the board of directors, and external stakeholders to support decision-making and accountability.Supervision and Leadership:

Supervise accounting staff responsible for AP, AR, and payroll. Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the finance team.Job QualificationsAt least 5 years of financial leadership in a nonprofit environment, preferably with FQHC experience.At least 3 years of healthcare accounting experience, specifically in a FQHC/healthcare center with at least 50 employees.Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent experience; CPA preferred.Experience with eClinicalWorks and QuickBooks.Knowledge of government cost principles, budgetary/reporting requirements, and auditing standards.Strong analytical skills and experience working with and presenting to the Board of Directors.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across all levels of management and staff.Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.If you or anyone you know is interested, qualified, and immediately available, please send an updated resume to us for immediate review and consideration.
