Employment Associate Attorney

Chicago office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an employment associate attorney with 3 years of experience in employment counseling and litigation. The candidate will work directly with the owner, attorneys, and staff to help our clients. Will be able to take the initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand-holding. Serve as a business advisor to clients, guiding them in a full range of legal matters throughout their life cycle. Manage direct client interaction, gain business development experience, and hold significant responsibility for complex, sophisticated legal matters. Handle certain aspects of litigation with minimal supervision such as interviewing witnesses; reviewing and managing electronically stored documents; drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs; handling the discovery process; interacting with clients and with opposing counsel; and attending court. Must be experienced in employment counseling and litigation in a private practice setting. Should preferably have experience counseling clients on employment-related decision-making, employment agreements, and developing and maintaining employment policies, practices, procedures, and training programs that comply with multi-jurisdictional legal requirements. Should also have experience handling federal and state labor and employment litigation and private arbitrations.
