Tomorrow, we will power checkout-free experiences anywhere you go to make the everyday experiences of living, working and playing remarkable - giving us back our most valuable asset, time.The RoleThe Director, Marketplace is responsible for developing and executing the strategy for hyper-scaling the Metropolis Marketplace, which dynamically connects Metropolis parking inventory with third-party channels across a multitude of use cases (short-term and long-term parking, charging, fleet services, etc.). The Marketplace team is a foundational component of the Corporate Business Development function and a focal point of strategic partnerships for the company. As the GM, you will own the Marketplace P&L, building out the team, driving strategic partnerships, and working cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Strategy to deliver the short-term and long-term objectives. Metropolis’ vision of the future is bold, and we are seeking a proven leader with a combination of strategic and operational experience.ResponsibilitiesEstablish the strategic direction for the Marketplace to advance the company’s business goals and objectives.Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Marketing, and Strategy to scope and execute the Marketplace vision and roadmap.Drive partnership strategy, identifying key prospects, building consensus with internal audiences, and executing multifaceted, long-term deals.Own the P&L and manage all aspects of the program to realize financial growth.Develop the high-performing team and implement the processes and systems necessary to enable the business unit to rapidly scale.Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.Requirements and QualificationsBachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required, 10+ years of relevant experience at a fast-paced company.Proven leadership in business strategy and operations, transforming early-stage ideas to leading businesses.Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with partners.Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams for complex programs.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.Experience in two-sided marketplaces, AI technology, mobility, real estate, or related fields is a plus.
