Student Life includes four departments, the University Career Center, Office of the Dean of Students, Erb Memorial Union, and Physical Education & Recreation, and a number of key programs.Position Summary:The Program Director of the UO Women's Center serves as an advocate and educator on issues pertinent to women on campus and gender issues in general. Responsibilities include:Guiding the vision through programs and services including annual events and educational and outreach support.Administering the Center; supervising the initiation and implementation of educational programs.Responding to program and service requests, providing direct service via resources and referrals to students.Promoting the best possible working and educational environment for women and people of all genders at the university.Minimum Qualifications:Two years of demonstrated experience working with and supervising students, preferably in a college, university, or similar setting.Administrative, managerial, and organizational skills.Interpersonal skills to relate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.Demonstrated ability to develop, empower, and cultivate a positive community/team culture.Strong acumen for customer service and community building.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Student Affairs/Higher Education Administration, Sociology, Women and Gender Studies, or another relevant field.Demonstrated successful leadership and program management experience in a women's center or similar work setting.Prior experience working with and advising students or student organizations.Skills in selecting, training, and supervising staff.Ability to design, implement and promote outreach programs consistent with the mission of the Women's Center.FLSA Exempt:
