Position Overview

The VP of Product Strategy for Verisk Marketing Solutions (VMS) will be responsible for leading our product growth strategy while also coordinating the necessary cross-functional activities that lead to the successful execution of our operating plan. This includes collaborating with Product Line Managers to support them in developing and executing individual product line strategy, overarching product and company-level positioning, and successful go-to-market execution in tight alignment with our commercial, technology, and operations teams. The VP Product Strategy will develop trusted, executive-level relationships with key internal stakeholders, customers, prospects, and partners, leveraging these relationships to help execute our objectives and to gather feedback that will inform the evolution of our market growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy. What product capabilities can we bring to market that meet the needs of our future customers? By possessing deep knowledge and domain expertise of our customers and markets, you will lead the vision and development of our long-term product strategy. You will partner closely with Product management and technical leadership to create and deliver innovation objectives that will unlock incremental customer value and drive expanded long-term growth for the organization.

Go-to-Market Positioning & Sales Execution. How should we position and sell our current products in the market? You will own the narrative of our go-to-market positioning and product sales strategy, partnering closely with cross-functional leadership (product, sales, marketing, ops) to develop organizationally aligned plans. You will drive execution and follow through of these plans across the organization making necessary adjustments along the way to improve our outcomes.

Customer Relationships & Market-Facing Activities. You will be a key representative of VMS externally, evangelizing and promoting the value of our products and capabilities. Through direct customer, prospect, and partner interactions, you will influence market credibility, sales adoption, and customer success while also gathering feedback to inform the continual evolution of our positioning and development plans. This will be accomplished through building direct executive level relationships with key accounts and by driving thought leadership in relevant industry outlets, associations and at conferences.
