Prior/current real estate experience is required! The Real Estate Corporate Controller will be the key financial officer responsible for the accuracy and integrity of our clients' commercial office real estate portfolio. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Close:

Ensures timely monthly and annual financial statements are prepared according to accounting standards. Will also manage the closing process. Budgeting and Forecasting:

The Controller will work with different departments to create realistic budgets and forecasts that align with the company's goals. They will also analyze variances between budget and actuals to identify areas for improvement. Accounting Operations:

Oversee the accounting team and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and classified. This includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. Financial Compliance:

The Controller will implement and uphold internal controls to safeguard financial data and ensure adherence to accounting regulations. Real Estate Specifics:

In addition to core accounting, the Controller will also handle tasks specific to the industry, such as assisting with property management tasks like budgeting for renovations or analyzing cash flow, and working on real estate transactions like acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.
