Trading Systems Development Engineer

The Trading Systems Development Engineer will work directly with traders, researchers, and other developers to engineer cutting edge trading systems. S/he will drive innovation for the frameworks upon which the firm’s trading applications are based, as well as benchmarking and tuning critical software services to achieve optimum performance internally and at all venues connected to around the globe.Candidate Qualifications:3+ years experience interfacing with high frequency trading technology, trading venues, or distributed systemsPerformance tuning/optimization of systems/software, as well as latency analysisStrong experience with Python and C++ development in a Linux environment, with an emphasis on automationPerl, Shell, and Bash scripting skillsStrong understanding of hardware stack and hardware architecture from a latency perspectiveStrong understanding of network protocolsKnowledge of operating system internals and Linux kernel highly desirableStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsA passion for technology and innovationConfident team player motivated by a fast-paced environmentBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or its equivalent
