Senior Accounting Associate

Don’t let your work be held back by internal equity bands; control your compensation with your work ethic!Role:A public accounting and advisory firm is expanding their regional office here in Chicago and looking to add a Senior Associate / Senior Accountant to their team. This is a client-facing role and will allow you to gain valuable work experience with Fortune 1000 clientele, integrated within these organizations as a part of the organization. These client engagements are typically longer engagements spanning 6-18 months. This doesn't mean longer hours, just more time dedicated and focused on that specific client! That means there will be NO jumping assignments every two or three weeks.Responsibilities:Work with all levels of employees and be a cross-functional liaison with different departments.Work on a variety of client engagements across multiple industries and perform various roles to expand and build your career.Act as a controller / mini CFO sharing your knowledge and expertise with executives and leadership.Be a part of critical strategic initiatives to drive process improvements and efficiency.Special Projects as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree Required.At least 3 years of public accounting experience or a blend of public accounting and corporate finance/accounting.A CPA is required. (Will consider someone with progress towards the CPA, exams completed.)Prior experience auditing or working for a publicly traded and/or Fortune 1000 organization is strongly preferred.Compensation:A competitive compensation package will be available for this position including Base Salary, 30% annual bonus, medical, dental, vision, great 401K, profit sharing, tuition, vacation and sick time, paid holidays, etc.Working Situation:This is a hybrid situation with 4 days in the office - Mon, Tues, Wed, Thursday.
