Job Overview:

A law firm specializing in estate planning is seeking a dedicated Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join its team in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload and advise clients on estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters.Job Duties:Execute case strategy with senior-level attorneys, paralegals, clients, and support staff.Manage a personal caseload, ensuring timely progress and client communication.Maintain regular contact with clients, Certified Public Accountants, Financial Advisors, insurance brokers, beneficiaries, and other legal counsel.Support senior attorneys in drafting legal documents related to estate planning, probate, and trust administration.Advise clients on estate planning, probate, and trust administration issues, ensuring compliance with legal standards and regulations.Perform administrative and management tasks related to legal practice.Research complex tax issues and provide strategic recommendations.Attend business development and networking events with firm leadership.Requirements:Minimum 4 years of experience practicing estate planning law in Oregon and Washington.Demonstrated expertise in estate and tax planning.Active membership with the Oregon State Bar; membership with the Washington State Bar is a plus.LLM in tax planning preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proven track record of delivering exceptional client service and building strong client relationships.Strong analytical, multitasking, and organizational abilities.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.Experience with estate tax returns (federal and state) and gift tax returns preferred.Effective interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle a heavy caseload.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.LLM in tax planning (preferred).Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication.Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.Proficient in legal research and drafting.
