We have immediate openings for a Portuguese or Spanish Toponymist in St. Louis, MO.Responsibilities:Process geographic namesConduct research and information gatheringUtilize GEOINT sourcesWork with maps (native, secondary, historic) for extraction and comparisonCreate shapefiles and geo-databases, including data retrieval/storageUnderstand and apply standard NGA productsMinimum Requirements:3-10 years of experience processing geographic namesReading expertise in Portuguese or Spanish (ILR 2 in reading)Top Secret SCI Security ClearanceMinimum proficiency skill level 2 for Reading as defined by the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR)Desirable Skills/Experience:Specific experience processing geographic names following NGA policies and proceduresExperience with ArcGIS or GeoMedia Pro (1 year preferred)Compensation and Benefits:Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year401(k)Flexible spending accountHealth insurancePaid time offReferral programRelocation assistanceVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to Friday***ALC is a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
