The

Regional Sales Manager

West

will be covering the states of Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Utah, California, Oregon and Washington; and the main responsibilities will be the following.

Key performance areas

Develop regional strategic plans for employees, distributors and customers that supports the US and global strategy and vision.Establish sales goals for direct reports to support objectives set out in annual business plan.Provide the leadership and guidance to position the sales team for successEnsure that the business with stakeholders is conducted in a way which contributes to a positive Image for the Company, while delivering quality and timely work to meet communicated deadlines and timelines.Develop and maintain an effective network of distributors and customersTarget new business opportunities and implement strategies to address sameDriving sales development of new and existing products line through our distributer partners and a target account strategy focused on end user customers offering the greatest opportunities in line with Company sales objectives.Developing new customers and distribution that would improve overall market coverage/ share and penetration of key end user accounts.Support Key Account Management of identified focus accounts within the regionWork with Customers and distributors to understand and communicate the customer's tooling requirements into the Dormer Pramet Product Management organization to prepare for the future.Interaction with distributors and supporting their tool issues such as recommendations, order follow-up, delivery, quality, etc.Develop, coordinate & organize the territory design to ensure adequate coverage and growthIdentify market trends and competitor activities and implement corresponding sales initiatives.Develop and implement sales strategy, tactics and plan for the region and execute same in a timely fashionMaintain and ensure focus on new products and marketing activities in the regionAttend industry trade shows and conferences.Direct subordinate employee activities, handle disputes, corrective action and changes in status and provide information regarding job requirements, company policy, rules and regulations.Develop, select, and motivate key personnel to accomplish business objectives and responsibilities and to prepare them for advancement.Conduct training and host new product introduction meetings with distribution and customer personnel.Operate and maintain leased vehicle in accordance with published company policies and instructions.May perform other functions that may be assigned in support of the company strategy.Meet established goals for product sales and drive initiatives outlined in the Sales & Marketing Plan.May be asked to perform other functions that may be assigned.Comply with safety standards and procedures in customer and customer facilities including but not limited to wearing of protective clothing.Candidate Profile

A Bachelor of Applied Science degree in a related field is preferred, with 5 to 8 years job related experience or equivalent experience in a management / supervisory position with a similar industry.Minimum 5 years sales experience in the metalworking industryStrong knowledge of the metal removal manufacturing and distribution.Proficiency in MS Office; Excel, PowerPoint, WordExcellent communication/presentation skills, oral and written, and effective relationship selling skills.Highly motivated; Strong organizational skillsDisciplined self-starter; Ability to multitask and strong problem-solving skillsStrong customer centric values & service orientedMust read, write, and speak English fluently.Must be proficient with training and presentation skills to large and small groupsMust be legally eligible to work in the United States.Must be able to perform mathematical calculations applicable to product applications and sales statistics.Must possess a current driver's license valid for his/her state of primary residence.May be required to undergo security clearance screening and obtain it for entry into some customer facilities.International and domestic travel may be required.
