As the Senior Manager of the Platform team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and scalability of the foundational layers of Gather. This includes everything from our rendering engine to our integrations to our game service, as well as the multiple interfaces we support (browser, desktop, and mobile). You’ll also partner closely with our product teams to understand their initiatives and pain points to help them move and build more efficiently through enhanced tooling, abstractions, or building blocks.With the wide surface area of our technology, you’ll have the ability and responsibility to drive impactful technical decision-making. In parallel, you’ll also be responsible for scaling our Platform team as we grow. We need leaders who are thoughtful and intentional about organizational strategy and growth that mirror our changing business and technology needs.Where you will make an impact:

3+ years of experience in engineering management roles, supporting full teams of 7 or more5+ years of experience building scalable, high-performance platforms or infrastructureDemonstrated track record of operating and scaling high-complexity, high-usage productsA natural curiosity for understanding and solving deep technical challengesA principled and balanced approach to planning, execution, and decision-makingNice-to-haves:
Prior experience in high-growth technology companiesExperience managing team(s) of 10 or moreExperience with globally distributed engineering teamsUS Salary Range
At Gather, compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $192,000 - $258,000 annually and we encourage candidates outside of this salary range to apply.Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for a stock reward program.Benefits
