Design and develop both new and existing services and features within the context of Salesforce’s enterprise web applications. The work is primarily in the backend but some front-end work may be involved. We work primarily in the Java programming language. On a regular basis, we work with such tools as Kafka, Trino, Splunk, and other tools involved in asynchronous processing.Maintain end-to-end ownership of the services including design, development, automated testing, deployment, and debugging.Lead by example by contributing high-quality, production-ready code that powers critical instrumentation of the Salesforce infrastructure.Make sound design decisions on the basis of performance, scalability, and future expansion.Tackle and advise others on complex problems that are ambiguous, sort through the complexity and dependencies, articulate the problem, and come up with elegant solutions.Partner with teams across Salesforce in aligning and building out a unified long-term plan and resources to support it. Communicate up, down, and across the organization on the current state of features that you work with.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar engineering field.2+ years of professional full-stack experience building enterprise scale web services.Strong knowledge of Java and Object Oriented Programming.Commitment to proper Software Engineering.Test Driven Development, Documentation, Code reviews, etc.Results oriented, adaptable, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.Collaborative and team-oriented.Familiarity with Agile development methodology.Accommodations
