Hyper is looking for a software engineer to join our early team as the first engineer focused entirely on backend and infrastructure. You'll help prototype, design, and architect features and infrastructure while collaborating with other engineers and designers to improve processes and contribute to a positive team culture.Ideally, you have a portfolio of projects that demonstrate your expertise, from personal projects to open-source modules. Professional experience is preferred but not required; we prioritize your work first and foremost.Responsibilities include:Building out our core backend, primarily using Python.Implementing REST APIs and working with databases like PostgreSQL.Familiarity with deploying services and features to support applications.Understanding software development principles and best practices.Communicating effectively in a fully remote environment.Bonus points if you have an interest in related disciplines such as AR, AI, and consumer software.About Hyper Online
