The candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing features in networking and security technologies.What You’ll DoHelp develop innovative network security solutions to expand Gigamon portfolioDesign and develop high-performance multithreaded software applications on multicore processorsContribute to overall product requirements, architecture, and designPropose designs/solutions to meet requirements for new productsConduct feasibility analysis for proposed solutionsMentor junior engineers in software development, technology, and processesWhat You’ve DoneMinimum BSEE/CS with 10+ years of software development experience in networking software architecture and DesignHands-on experience in networking protocols especially TCP/IP, SSL/TLProven experience with performance optimization techniques in multicore environments and profiling toolsDemonstrable experience developing high performance networking applications using DPDKExperience in Firewalls, IDS, IPS, and Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) techniques is a plusExperience developing system-level software in Linux development environmentWho You AreExpert in C/C++ codingStrong understanding of multicore architectures and programming techniquesSolid understanding of distributed systems, load balancing, caching, and resource managementExcellent written/oral communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated individual with the ability to work in a high-achieving team
