In this role, you will have the chance to design and develop automation tools for infrastructure management and solve real problems in our infrastructure ecosystem. As an SRE, you'll be focused on running better production applications and systems.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of automation tools for infrastructure management and maintenance.Install and configure the development environment, deploy services. Ensure compliance of operation procedures.Collaborate with engineers to develop solutions that improve the reliability of our production ecosystem.Provide on-call support, incident response and collaborative debugging.QualificationsBasic QualificationsA Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree based on two or more years of work experience.Two or more years of professional experience as a site reliability engineer or in related occupations (systems administration, DevOps engineering, networking/automation, software/systems development).Good understanding of computer science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.Good understanding of computer networking fundamentals.Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, such as Python, Bash.Experience working with container environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.Preferred QualificationsExperience building and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems or web services with a high degree of operational excellence.Good understanding of Linux operating system internals, such as network and storage subsystems.Experience in hybrid on-premises, multi-cloud environments.Experience running and maintaining a 24x7 production environment.ByteDance is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
