We think big, creating innovative data-intensive applications that take the vast amount of data collected by our CoStar Research teams to create a fast, reliable and intuitive analytics platform for our customers.We are searching for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer in Test, who can develop test automation solutions within our agile product teams. This role is critical to the quality and success of our product and includes the design, development and execution of automated tests for products we’re developing, as well as continued improvement of our testing process and architecture.This position is located in San Diego (UTC Area) and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.ResponsibilitiesDesigning, developing, executing and maintaining automated tests based on product requirements and specificationsInvestigating, logging and escalating as appropriate the defects identified during automated testingWorking with the development team to analyze project requirements with the goal of increasing automated test coverageCollaborating with other Software Engineers in Test on the continual improvement of our automated testing tools and strategiesGaining a deep understanding of the CoStar business, including the Analytic productsBasic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or collegeA track record of commitment to prior employers5+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer or Software Engineer in TestExperience with test automation strategies and tools, such as Test Cafe, Selenium Web Driver, MS Test, or Test CompleteUnderstanding of quality assurance testing methodologies and the software development life cycleExperience with Object Oriented ProgrammingExperience with SQL and relational databases, including testing relational database-backed applicationsFamiliarity with modern front end (JavaScript, React, etc.) and/or back end (C#, .NET Framework, Web API, Node) languages and application frameworksHistory of partnering and collaborating with software development teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience with QA automated testing frameworksFunctional and automated test development, code reviews, and site resiliency testingDesire and ability to write and run automated tests in a continuous integration environmentExperience with testing Microservices and container technologies.Experience testing software at API levelWhat’s in it for YouWhen you join CoStar Group, you’ll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.We offer you generous compensation and performance-based incentives.
