You’ll shape the design and development of all mission-critical, high visibility projects in our Swift-based native iOS app. Important to note, our iOS app is the highest conversion platform for new users, so your team’s work on improving the experience has a huge impact on the business. You'll be responsible for making sure our new users feel the magic when we instantly connect them with a native English speaker for the first time. You'll also be responsible for building the iOS infrastructure that will enable our growing team to build and ship iOS features quickly.Things we're looking for:A product-minded approach to engineering. You’re excited about working directly with our students, tutors, and our international team to make sure students have an amazing experience.8+ years highly applicable experience building and shipping consumer-facing iOS softwareExperienced owner of large scale app(s) released on iTunes App StoreExpertise with the latest best practices and libraries used in modern iOS development, so much so that people seek you out for this knowledgeDeep understanding and proficiency in iOS design patternsProficient in Swift and UIKit. Knowledge of SwiftUI is advantageousKnowledge of reactive programming using RxSwift or CombineA global perspective and creative mindset.
