The Opportunity Adobe is seeking a leader to join our Public Policy Team and lead Adobe’s cybersecurity public policy engagement. The position will be based in Washington, DC, and will report to the Vice President of Policy, Government Relations, and Ethical Innovation. They will partner closely with Adobe’s Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer, as well as Adobe’s Vice President/Chief Cybersecurity Legal and Privacy Officer. What you'll Do Advance Adobe’s global cyber policy objectives in key markets around the world. Develop and implement strategic public policy outreach initiatives and advocacy campaigns to engage with key partners and government officials. Build and maintain positive relationships with government officials and influencers to promote Adobe’s interests. Keep informed of cyber-related policy developments and trends; coordinate with key stakeholders to assess impact and provide updates. Proactively identify cyber-related policy opportunities and risks, work to mitigate emerging policy risks, and capitalize on opportunities. Develop messaging and content to support advocacy engagements and policymaking meetings. Collaborate internally across business functions and program manage cybersecurity policy projects, working with cross-functional team members. Participate in meetings with internal cybersecurity specialists, both within Cyber Legal and Cybersecurity teams, understand the technical abilities and needs of our organization, and assess appropriate policy responses. Coordinate globally and regionally on policy developments, risks, and engagements. Working with technical teams, identify data and cyber information sharing opportunities, and craft new programs for sharing and teamwork that helps harden the cyber-defenses of the entire industry. Engage with industry partners, governments, and other team members to build coalitions and strategic public-private partnerships that support our cyber policy goals. What you need to succeed Extensive knowledge of the technical aspects of cybersecurity practices and the ability to translate those practices into policy positions. A distinguished track record of success. Ability to work with leaders in other subject areas to agree on appropriate and effective points of view on the hardest cybersecurity challenges. Political competence with an understanding of the political, legislative, and decision-making processes of governments. Familiarity with current political, legal, regulatory and market trends impacting cybersecurity policy. Achievement in developing and advancing cybersecurity policy. Experience working with elected officials, community leaders, industry associations, consumer advocacy groups, national and international security professionals and corporate executives. Tact and judgment; strong negotiating skills; effective communicator; ability to engage diverse collaborators. Strong analytical approach to problem solving, ability to develop solutions to problems, able to deliver on time and work efficiently in high pressure. Ability to travel as needed globally. Professional level written and spoken English communication and interpersonal talents as a foundation for developing and maintaining strong internal relationships at all levels, cross-functionally, and across business units and geographies. A respected and trusted voice in public policy with success in developing and implementing effective policy advocacy strategies. Proven track record leading strategic relationships to advocate and influence public policy priorities. Deep experience collaborating with engineering groups. Suitable qualifications include bachelor’s degrees in public relations, communication, political sciences, public affairs, law, business, economics, engineering, business, or similar.
