Act as tech lead -- managing projects and mentoring peersTurn unstructured logs, messages, and events into structured data that can be utilized for analytics, machine learning, and moreImplement backend data pipelines for manipulating and managing big dataOptimize data processing pipelines with different goals including latency, cost, and throughputImprove existing data pipelines in terms of scalability and efficiencyDesign and implement fraud prevention/detection algorithms through analyzing complex time-series dataCollaborate with other engineers at Moloco to build the best mobile advertising platform in the worldWhat You'll Need To Succeed
BS in Computer Science or related fields (MS preferred)Leadership experience -- time spent as a TLM or TL on a large scale projectManagement experience -- we're seeking someone who can optimize each team member's strengths and apply their skills in the right placeDesire to still be hands on, working alongside the rest of the data platform team and adding value to complex projects10+ years of hands-on industry experience in software developmentExcellent software development skills and fluency in at least one programming language (preferably Java, Go, or Python)Outstanding problem-solving skillsBias for action; ability to inspire a teamExperience in Cloud/Big Data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCE, Beam, Spark, etc.)Experience in distributed computing/MapReduceMoloco Thrive: Benefits and Well-Being
