The Mission Software Engineering team builds, deploys, integrates, extends, and scales Anduril's software to deliver mission-critical capabilities to our customers. As the software engineers closest to Anduril customers and end-users, Mission Software Engineers solve technical challenges of operational scenarios while owning the end-to-end delivery of winning capabilities such as Joint All Domain Command & Control Systems.

As a Software Engineer in Test on the Mission Software Engineering team, you will solve a wide variety of problems to accelerate rapid growth of the product while maintaining core stability and capability. You will engage cross functionally to drive outcomes and get your hands dirty when necessary. Above all, Mission Software Engineers are driven by a "Whatever It Takes" mindset—executing in an expedient, scalable, and pragmatic way while keeping the mission top-of-mind and making sound engineering decisions to deliver successful outcomes correctly, on-time, and with high quality.

What You'll DoEngage with government stakeholders to inform, shape, and participate in how our system is tested and evaluated.Understand the system architecture and design and automate test suites that measure performance, validate capability, and prove interoperability with external systems.Build and define QA software and pipeline that ensures high quality software is released to customers.Build representative test environments considering the operational requirements of the software, hardware, network, and chaos factors.Instrument the system to support high signal insights and evaluation of its real time performance.

Core RequirementsHolds U.S. Secret ClearanceBS/MS degree in a relevant field: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test or similar positionScripting/programming proficiency in at least one language such as Go, Python, Java, etc.Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teamsA desire to work on critical software that has real-world impact.

Desired RequirementsExperience automating systems and building CI/CD pipelinesDemonstrated ability to collaborate with external stakeholdersFamiliarity with microservice architecturesExperience with generating test plans with gray box knowledge.

US Salary Range: $168,000—$252,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package. Additionally, Anduril offers top-tier benefits for full-time employees.
