The incumbent will be central to ensuring that our platform is not just powerful, but also developer-friendly, enabling seamless integrations and fostering a vibrant developer community.Responsibilities of the Technical Product Manager for the Advice Platform:

API Development & Management: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the advice platform’s APIs, focusing on ease of understanding, comprehension, and integration.API Portal: Champion the development of a state-of-the-art API portal that matches or exceeds industry standards.Documentation & Guides: Develop comprehensive guides, examples, and documentation to aid developers in understanding and integrating with our APIs.Developer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with the developer community, gathering feedback and ensuring their needs are met.Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Advice Platform and technical teams to align the platform’s capabilities with the larger company vision.Financial Understanding: While technology-focused, have a comfortable grasp of the financial advice and quantitative methods in finance to ensure the platform serves its core function effectively.Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate the platform's ease of use and developer experience, pushing for improvements and refinements.Ideal qualifications, skills & experience:

3+ Years Experience in API Development: Proven track record in technical product management, ideally with experience in API development and management.Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications is a plus.Technical Prowess: Deep understanding of API development, modern integration methods, and best practices.Communication: Skilled at translating technical concepts into easily digestible content for a diverse audience.Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with both technical and non-technical teams.Financial Acumen: A basic understanding of financial services, with the capacity to comprehend the platform’s underlying financial algorithms.Work Location:

Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. The salary, benefits and variable rewards will reflect the seniority of the position and a competitive market rate.
