Job Title:
Robotics EngineerDevelop and direct agile deployments of autonomous technology in new locations. Work with our autonomy, product, and mapping operations team to scout locations and identify and resolve novel technical challenges associated with specific traffic environments. Collaborate with Engineers and Product Managers across the organization to identify and develop features that expand system capability and improve the rider experience. Provide insight to the performance of the technology stack in new environments to the strategy and engineering teams. Write software to analyze and increase the efficiency of autonomy operations. Analyze autonomy performance and prepare technical summaries for development and executive teams. Design and direct technology demonstrations for partners, investors, and regulatory agencies using advanced presentation and communication skills.Position Details:
The position is fixed location based in Boston office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed up to three (3) days per week. Domestic travel up to 30% of the time for technology demonstrations, testing and deployments, business meetings, and operational and technical scouting.Minimum Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience working with robotics systems as a Robotics Engineer, Mobile Robotics Engineer, Mobile Robotics Intern, or closely related occupation. Five (5) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):Robotic systems including sensors, actuators, mechanical, algorithms, and software systems.Working with mobile autonomous systems.Python and C++.Writing robotics software.Will accept a Master's degree plus six (6) months of experience working with robotics systems as a Robotics Engineer, Mobile Robotics Engineer, Mobile Robotics Intern, or closely related role, in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of experience.40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm.
