Our organization is responsible for the customer on Grubhub and our partners. This critical role will focus on building platform products that allow Grubhub to grow through partnerships with 3rd parties and support the scalability of Grubhub’s overall diner platform. You will play a central role in envisioning, articulating, and expanding the core features and user experiences that connect customers on partner websites and apps with Grubhub’s online food ordering marketplace. In addition, you will work directly with engineering leaders on providing the product mindset and direction as we evolve our marketplace platform. Ideal candidates for this role have a strong technical product management background in direct-to-consumer digital, retail, or CPG subscription platforms, a customer-centric mindset, strong technical and analytical acumen, and can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders from peer-level to C-level. They excel at problem-solving in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and are adept at leveraging data and insights to drive value through their products. You will report directly to a Director, Product Management.The Impact You Will Make:Create the vision and articulate the short and long term product strategy for Partnership product, ensuring alignment with the Product Roadmap for the larger Grubhub organizationWork with Engineering to integrate customer and business requirements into commerce platform systemGather and unearth business opportunities through research, data analysis, user experience analysis, competitive research, testing and experimentationManage product features, influence customers, vendors, external partners, and engineering teams prioritiesProficiently communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing with Product, Design, Engineering and Business partners to ensure clear messaging of the Partnership Platform strategy and goals across the companyAble to liaison between Product and non-technical/product partners to clearly explain complex product concepts in simple languageSet clear, quantitative measures for product(s) and monitor process, progress, and resultsDeliver on rigorous, quantifiable business objectives in a matrixed, flat organizationPlay a key role on the company’s strategic direction, defining and articulating new opportunities, and working in close concert with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, Grubhub’s technology team and various business teamsIdentify when there are areas of improvement within the team and proactively mentor them to help close those gapsInvest in coaching and mentoring other PMs on the teamDemonstrate strong writing and storytelling skills through product briefs, Jira tickets, opportunity assessments, etc.Actively make process improvementsDrive large features within their domain and be the SME for those crossing a number of partnersWhat You Bring to the Table:4+ years of experience as a Product Manager in an Agile environmentExperience in user-facing industries such as eCommerce, technology or multi-sided marketplacesBA/BS required, with a focus on computer science or mathematics preferred; MBA is a plusProficient analytical and quantitative skills and strong bias towards data-driven decision-making, preferably in the context of experimentsExperience manipulating large, raw datasets using tools/techniques such as SQL, pivot tables, lookups, etc.; experience with Presto, Redash, TableauProven collaboration skills, working across a broad organization including Technology, Product Design, Data Science and MarketingDemonstrated experience launching search features in high growth markets; history of successfully delivering large scale projects in high-quality, managing the entire life-cycleFamiliar with product development in Agile and OKR methodologies, preferably with squad or tribe structuresAbility to weigh competing priorities, manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with stakeholders, driving to consensus while maintaining a clear focus on overarching business prioritiesStrong technical understanding for area of product development and focus and is building awareness at the architecture levelAn innate understanding of technology and how to use it to deliver outstanding and innovative products is a mustNew York Salary Range: $148,000 - $178,000The Base Pay component of our Total Rewards package is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to: job responsibilities, location, experience and education/certifications. In addition to the pay component, this role may be eligible for equity and benefits as part of the Total Rewards package.
