Come build the first distributed utility with us, propelling the biggest energy transformation of our lifetime.What you’ll do:Accountable for safety, costs and quality targets for assigned areasDevelop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methodsEmploy knowledge of product design, materials, parts, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment to lead efficiencyLead 1st article manufacturing validation activity for design changesWork with HW Engineering to identify and correct product related issues on the lineAnalyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements and workflowMaximize efficiency of equipment layout design and workspaceHave a strong voice for new product design for manufacturingAdvocate for new product design for manufacturingConfer with vendors and engineering to determine product specificationsArrange for purchase of equipment, materials or partsEvaluate products according to specifications and quality standardsEstimate production times, staffing requirements and related costsCommunicate budget needs to leadership using dataCross collaborate with engineers and leaders to determine manufacturing capabilities and production scheduleApply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential needsResearch and purchase manufacturing technologyPrioritize projects effectively for teamAbout You:Self-starter with the ability to adapt interpersonal styles and techniques to influence at all levels of the organizationCustomer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretionAbility to maintain strict confidentiality, establish trust and credibility, and act with complete integrityDetail-oriented, resourceful and diligentStrong time management and organizational skills; must be able to work any shift as needed based on production needsSound judgment and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skillsSkills to be successful:7+ years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing environment or related environmentBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical or industrial)Design for manufacturing experience; Process design and layout experienceExpert level of understanding of lean manufacturing conceptsStrong functional, hands-on experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of GD&T, basic Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systemsKnowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan and ISO/TProficient in Solidworks, MS applications, and Google SuiteExperience with power tools and measuring toolsAbility to work in a fast paced manufacturing environmentAbility to work various shifts when neededPay EquityMoxion is committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for substantially similar work. Compensation displayed is a range. Maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements. We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience. Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area.
