Preference is for this role to be located in Chicago, but consideration will be given to virtual candidates in the U.S. as long as you can work our Vouch core collaboration hours (8:30 am-2:30 pm Pacific Time).Role Responsibilities:Develop and establish claims strategy and practices within the context of Vouch’s mission.Provide input, support, and subject matter expertise to Claims Operations for the purpose of:Developing and implementing process/technology enhancements to improve client experience, improve efficiency, and reduce claims leakage.Monitoring and measuring claim’s service levels, leakage, large loss claims, and client experience.Identify claims with significant exposure and take an active role in coordinating a strategy for an appropriate resolution.Ensure appropriate individual claims strategy is being implemented on all claims, particularly large and complex claims.Collaborate with and provide ongoing coaching to adjusters to develop, coordinate, and manage complex claims strategies.Provide timely approvals on reserves, major loss reports, and reservations of rights requested by adjusters.Act as subject matter expert on claims supporting the Sales and Underwriting teams.Provide support and insights to Underwriting, Actuary and Insurance Product Innovation to evolve products in alignment with intent and to update pricing.Provide input to Actuary to help facilitate the setting of ultimate claim reserves.Work with legal and compliance to ensure claims handling is compliant.Develop and manage Vouch’s claims advocacy process (for brokered business).Responsible for ensuring achievement of key metrics including ULAE as a percentage of Earned Premium and Claims Leakage.About you:10+ years of experience in insurance, preferably 5+ recently within P&C claims.Proficient with property and casualty claims, with management liability and professional liability claim’s experience a strong plus.Project management experience, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects while prioritizing high impact work.Ability to act as a thought leader and adapt claim’s priorities, decisions and roadmap based on the broader company strategy.Adept at bringing creative insurance product ideas to solve ambiguous problems.Exceptional communication skills, with an emphasis on real-time interaction, both written and verbal.Experience managing claims adjusters and property/liability claims.A strong ambition and excitement to focus on the customer, technology startups.Bachelor’s Degree.Nice to have:Juris Doctorate or Doctor of Jurisprudence.Exposure to and passion for early-stage startups and/or high growth environments.A background in insurance or other regulated categories.Vouch provides a number of benefits to help you bring your best self to work:Competitive compensation and equity packages.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Parental leave.Flexible vacation time (Unlimited PTO).Wellness allowance ($80/month).Technology allowance ($100/month).Salary Range:
