The IACP seeks to hire a Senior Project Manager to broadly support IACP efforts, and specifically support the following project:Community Trust Initiative (CTI): The IACP and partners provide training and technical assistance to identified law enforcement agencies and their community partners to build sustainable change that can further establish and maintain trust between police and the communities they serve.Working with IACP staff, project partners, and stakeholders, the Senior Project Manager will:Supervise several projects and project-related staff membersOversee the Association’s initiatives and agreementsDevelop, manage, and track multiple grant-related budgets; also monitor invoicing in accordance with IACP and federal guidelinesMonitor and ensure compliance with grant activities, federal guidelines, and agency policiesManage the ongoing development and implementation of project scope, tasks, and deliverables by IACP project staff, while also ensuring concurrence with grant contracting staffEstablish and maintain collaborative relationships with state, local, and tribal agencies, federal entities, law enforcement associations, Association Committees, Sections, and Divisions and other key stakeholdersFacilitate meetings, training sessions, group discussions, and other events attended by law enforcement, subject matter experts, and criminal justice partnersCoordinate and conduct educational presentations about programmatic efforts and initiatives, while also representing the Association at national forums, working groups, and other eventsWork in conjunction with the IACP’s committees to coordinate the planning of working groups, midyear, and annual meetings, and to collaborate on the development of grant deliverablesMaintain ongoing and effective communication with project team, staff members, partners, and funding agenciesMonitor contract/consultant performanceAssess the effectiveness of project activities and resourcesManage, lead, and grow staff membersOther duties as assignedEducation

Bachelor’s degree in subject-related field + four (4) years of job-related experience OR Master’s degree in subject-related field + three (3) years of job-related experience requiredRelevant Experience/Skills

Relevant experience with a public, private, or non-profit organization preferredMinimum of two (2) years of staff and/or consultant supervisory experienceExperience managing comprehensive multi-year projectsStrong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsSuperior verbal and writing proficiency; capacity to work collaboratively and productively with the project team, law enforcement professionals, data providers, and federal grant agency liaisonsDemonstrated ability to implement programs, provide training and technical assistance, and develop resources that positively affect the fieldAbility to multi-task; must be organized and have attention to detailExperience in accounting for project resourcesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Analytical skills to include ability to troubleshoot problems from multiple perspectivesExcellent writing, editing, and communication skillsStrong penchant for collaboration and teamworkCritical thinking and decision-making skillsSolid task prioritization, organization, and time management skills, and attention to detailDemonstrated skill in managing staff and projectsAbility to create and manage a budget, accounting for and preserving project resourcesPreferred Qualifications

Familiarity with and understanding of policing, and project relevant issues, such community-based crime reduction or community police engagement, and community police relationsExperience providing training and technical assistance to the criminal justice fieldExperience with and knowledge of grant-funded effortsExperience in a non-profit organization, association, or criminal justice environmentSpecial Conditions and Work Environment
