We're looking for a lab technician to work closely with our modeling and engineering team members to fully understand and execute the entire physical process of battery testing. The ideal candidate will be someone who takes initiative, has an intuition for continuous improvement of lab workflow and processes, uses common sense, and takes a creative and resourceful approach to solving problems.Responsibilities

Test setup, instrumentation, data collection, and documentationMaintain and research upgrades to lab equipment (battery cyclers, thermal chambers, and electronics)Lab safety and workflow practicesOrganization, tidiness, and safety compliance of lab spacesMechanical and electrical design, fabrication, assembly, and documentation of test fixturesCommunicate technical matters, schedule considerations, deliverables, and needs to cross functional groupsMinimum Qualifications

Capable of performing required battery lab tasksClear and effective written and interpersonal communication skillsWorking knowledge of basic software, spreadsheets, etc.Experience with basic fabrication tools (soldering, hand tools, small power tools, etc.)Experience with basic electrical test tools (power supplies, multimeters, battery testers, etc.)High attention to detail and self-motivationPreferred Additional Qualifications

Mechanical and/or Electrical CAD proficiencyBasic understanding of measurements and conversion for basic scientific units as well as electrical unitsRunning, crimping, and organizing wires and wiring harnessesElectrical safety and/or high voltage lab experienceBasic knowledge of python, writing scripts, networking, etc.What We Offer
