We are looking for a Staff Kernel Developer in the Platform Silicon Bringup team to own the Linux Kernel device driver development for pre-silicon and post-silicon validation, custom chip and hardware bringup as well as building a high performance hardware acceleration stack across a wide variety of devices and systems.What You'll Be Doing
Build Linux kernel device drivers to support pre-silicon and post-silicon validation, chip bringup and deploy across various productsOwn Architecture, development and design of Linux kernel drivers, user space libraries and applications for custom AI chipsBringup heterogeneous CPU cores and bringup of various evaluation platforms which use custom AI chipsArchitect system partitioning for performance using various hardware accelerator coresDevelop high-performance system for data movement, I/O interfacing, networking and embedded signal processingCollaborate with colleagues across multiple teams and mentor developersWhat You Must Have
8+ years of experience in kernel device driver developmentSolid understanding of Linux kernel internals (memory management, concurrency/synchronization, DRM subsystem, device driver framework)Understanding of the Linux kernel open source development process and upstream contributionsFamiliarity with the ARM64 architectureExperience with git and follow good software practices like code review, documentationEffective interpersonal, leadership, and communication skillsFamiliarity with system performance analysis, profiling, and tuningBonus points!
Experience with audio, WiFi, or bluetooth device driver developmentExperience in pre-silicon and post-silicon validation device driver developmentExperience with PCIe drivers, DRM, DMA controllersThe salary range for this position is $161,500 - $237,500. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
