Position SummaryAs a Walmart Staff Software Engineer (SDET), you will dig into our mammoth scale of data to help unleash the power of retail data science by imagining, developing, and maintaining data pipelines that our Data Scientists and Analysts can rely on. You will be responsible for contributing to an orchestration layer of complex data transformations, refining raw data from source into targeted, valuable data assets for consumption in a governed way. You will partner with Data Scientists, Analysts, other engineers, and business stakeholders to solve complex and exciting challenges so that we can build out capabilities that evolve the retail business model while making a positive impact on our customers' lives.About Team: Data VenturesOur team creates reusable technologies to help with customer acquisition, onboarding, and empowering merchants, while ensuring a seamless experience for both of these stakeholders. We also optimize tariffs and assortment in accordance with Walmart's Everyday Low Cost philosophy. We not only create affordability, but we also deliver customized experiences for customers across all channels - in-store, mobile app, and websites. Data Ventures exists to unlock the full value of Walmart's data by developing and productizing B2B data initiatives that empower merchants and suppliers to make better, faster decisions for the business. As part of this transformation, we're seeking entrepreneurial individuals to help drive data productization from concept to deployment.What You'll DoYou will be responsible for all testing of an entire product across various platforms.You will promote QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices.You will own the development of test strategies, including manual and automation testing and test plans and execution of end to end functional and integration tests to certify dev builds and ensure successful release of apps and services into production.You will Implement QA process, write and execute automated test cases for all the work streams to improve the overall testing cycle.The successful candidate must be obsessed with quality improvement and promoting best quality engineering practices into every stage of product development.You will ensure comprehensive test coverage by working closely with the product and engineering teams to prioritize testing execution and report on test execution progress and results.What You'll BringAt least 8+ years of experience in Automation testing.Experience in building test suites using web and mobile automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Cucumber etc.Experience in server-side API testing, Integration testing and an understanding of REST APIs.Ability to troubleshoot questions about data quality in SQL.Experience in analyzing, investigating, verifying, recreating, documenting, and triaging software issues and tracking them to resolution.Minimum QualificationsOutlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position:Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area.Option 2: 6 years' experience in software engineering or related area.Preferred QualificationsOutlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position:Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.Primary Location840 W California Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94086-4828, United States of America
