Duties

WHAT IS THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER DIVISION?A description of the business units can be found at:Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas: Procurement.The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.As a Senior Manager you will:Exercise delegated managerial authority to oversee the overall planning, directing and timely execution of a program, several program segments, or comparable staff functions, including development, assignment, and higher level clearance of goals and objectives for supervisors or managers of subordinate organizational units.Approve multi-year and longer range work plans developed by the supervisors or managers of subordinate organizational units and subsequently manage the overall work to enhance achievement of the goals and objectives.Oversee the revision of long range plans, goals and objectives for the work directed.Manage the development of policy changes in response to changes in levels of appropriations or other legislated changes.Manage organizational changes throughout the organization directed or major change to the structure and content of the program or program segments directed.Exercise discretionary authority to approve the allocation and distribution of funds in the organization's budget.Requirements

Federal experience is not required. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:BASIC REQUIREMENT: (GRADE 13 & ABOVE)You must complete all Mandatory Training requirements and have 4 years of experience in contracting or related positions, with at least 1 year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower level.AND4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in fields such as accounting, business, finance, law contracts, purchasing, economics, or organization management.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the next lower level.Education

For positions with an education requirement, submit a copy of your transcripts or equivalent. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.Additional Information

A 1-year probationary period is required.Subject to a 1-year supervisory or managerial probationary period.Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.This is a non-bargaining unit position.Tour of Duty: Monday- Friday, 6:00AM-6:00PM.Alternative work schedule, staggered work hours or telework may be available.This is an open continuous announcement which allows applicants to apply up to the closing date of the announcement, 12/18/2024.Required Documents
