Position Summary:

Are you interested in working for UDRI, a national leader in scientific and engineering research, serving government, industry and nonprofit customers? UDRI invites qualified candidates to apply for our Software Engineer opening! This position will be responsible for working, as part of a diverse and skilled technical team, to write and test software in high level languages, and to develop and test signal processing algorithms from concept to implementation. Eligibility to obtain a United States SECRET clearance (or higher) is required for ongoing employment in this position.Minimum Qualifications:

Completed Bachelor's Degree3+ years of professional software development experienceFamiliarity with modern Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) and software compilers such as Netbeans, Visual Studio, Eclipse, or similarSuccessful experience (academic or professional) developing software using C, C++ and/or JavaDue to the nature of this position, U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is requiredPreferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer ScienceDemonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) programming in algorithm level languages such as Matlab/Simulink, Python or similarDemonstrated experience (academic or professional) with developing software solutions targeting Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV)Demonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) developing software to communicate and exchange information (e.g. commands, status, data) with hardware devices, sensors, and/or systemsDemonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) installing, configuring, and working in Windows and Linux environmentsDemonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) developing software applications specifically designed for use in multi platform (e.g. Windows and Linux) environmentsDemonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) with source code version control systems such as Git, Subversion, or similarDemonstrated, successful experience (academic or professional) with software development practices such as Agile, Scrum, or similarDemonstrated, effective interpersonal skillsActive US SECRET (or higher) clearance
