Job Summary:Operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment, computer, and image management systems utilized in performing MRI exams. Collaborates with the radiologist and fellow staff members regarding patient testing. Complies with MRI safe practices at all times.
Education - Required:High School Diploma/GED andSpecialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
Experience - Preferred:1 year experience as an MRI Technologist
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:Ability to deal effectively and ethically with medical and confidential information relating to patients, families, physicians and nursing personnel.Ability to maintain a high degree of maturity and exercise individual judgment in working with patients, equipment, and personnel that are involved in MRI exams.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in all written and oral communications, including email.Skills in technical data interpretation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Preferred:Knowledge of Insurance Benefit and Eligibility Websites.Knowledge of Medical Insurance Terminology.
Certifications - Required:Health Services/BCLS - Basic Life Support BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire andARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Upon Hire andMRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist within 1 Year orARMRIT - Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist within 1 Year
