Together, we are an integral part of an important mission - we go to work every day with the knowledge and pride that our accomplishments make a difference.HII - Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Senior Cyber Systems Engineer/Administrator to work out of Herndon, VA to advance the state of the art in Big Data, Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Advanced Analytics to enhance the DoD and IC information processes and technical architectures.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesThe selected Senior Cyber Systems Engineer/Administrator (position is a hybrid Engineer/Administrator) will work on-site in the program's Herndon SCIF 4 or 5 days/week and serve as a privileged user/PUA for assessments and other activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Monitoring system healthTroubleshooting system problemsMaintaining storage systemsInterfacing with other parts of the team for hardware, network, and infrastructure supportProviding after-hours on-call/call-in support on a rotational basisEnsuring system security requirements are satisfiedCreating/maintaining system scriptsPatching/upgrading systemsAdministering user accountsMinimum Qualifications9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 7 years relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; 4 years relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.Experience with Linux environmentsExperience with scripting languages, such as Bash and PythonStrong problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skillsExperience with Git for source controlUnderstanding and willingness to work in a DevSecOps-oriented environment with an infrastructure as code mindsetActive CompTIA Security+ CE Certification (or equivalent DoD IAT Level 2 cert)The position is 100% onsiteTS/SCI w/CI PolyPreferred RequirementsTechnical experience and knowledge of distributed storage networks, routing, and application messaging frameworks. Experience provisioning and sustaining network infrastructures and have experience developing operations and management networks required to operate in a secure PKI, IPSEC, or VPN-enabled environment. NiFi, HA Proxy, Docker, Kubernetes, Spark, and Elasticsearch experience. Experience developing, operations, and managing networks required to operate in a secure PKI, IPSEC, or VPN-enabled environment.
