Capital One Software , you will be on the forefront of driving a major technology transformation by building Enterprise B2B solutions focused on providing cloud and data management solutions for companies operating in the cloud.Job Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with Product to understand/influence the requirements and design, implement features which meet our customer requirements.Be part of a full stack team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.Apply knowledge of Object-oriented programming, microservices, and developing applications that conform to application domains.Write automated component and integration tests.Demonstrate a You Build You Own mindset, displaying a strong sense of ownership, pushing for best practices and operational excellence, and sharing knowledge with the teams.Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.Produce resilient code & designs that meet parameters for system availability, reliability, flexibility, scalability, usability, and security.Excellent communication skills to present design/implementation choices to architecture, product, and leadership.Be fungible in a full stack team and own all aspects of delivering business applications.Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree.At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience working in an agile environment.3+ years of experience with programming languages like Java, Python, SQL.2+ years of experience developing Cloud Native applications.3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.3+ years of experience with RDBMS, and an understanding of NoSQL.Experience with container orchestration like Docker or Kubernetes.Hands-on experience with a wide variety of AWS services (CloudFront, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, DynamoDb, Kinesis, Lambda, Route53, VPC).Strong understanding of software design patterns and demonstrated experience implementing them at scale for large scale applications.Strong understanding of secure application development practices.At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.Remote (Regardless of Location): $140,000 - $159,800 for Senior Software EngineerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
