MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Deliver course content, with ability to clearly articulate in various modes: classroom, remote, hybrid, or fully online, depending on class. Be aware of and promote program and course outcomes.Hold weekly office hours that are responsive to student schedules.Evaluate and grade student work (labs, assignments, exams).Participate in regular meetings: twice-yearly faculty meetings, professional development workshops.Understand and apply University of Minnesota policies to student- and course-related issues, with support from program staff and University resources.Participate in continuing education in specific field of knowledge to ensure delivery of leading-edge content to prepare students for professional work in industry.Carry out self-evaluation each semester leading to continuous improvement.Reflect upon and evaluate course material each semester to identify needs for revision to content areas or assignments. REQUIRED:Demonstrated knowledge and skill in DEI in professional settings.Bachelor's degree in a field closely related to information technology infrastructure.Ten or more years of professional experience in a field directly related to information technology infrastructure.PREFERRED:Master's degree in a field closely related to information technology infrastructure. Teaching experience in higher education.Desired:Ph.D. or terminal degree in a field closely related to information technology infrastructure or in adult higher education.Teaching experience in higher education that includes online courses.A demonstrated understanding of pedagogy that blends theoretical concepts and professional applications.Are you excited about this job and meet the required qualifications, but your past experience does not align perfectly with every preferred qualification? This faculty position is responsible for University of Minnesota INET course instruction as employed by Undergraduate Applied and Professional Studies (uAPS) in the College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) in the Information Technology Infrastructure (ITI) degree program.
