MarisellaBodrero.com is looking for a Social Media Coordinator. This person will assist us in all things social media management for our company. This position is virtual, so most of your communication with us will be on Slack & Zoom. Due to the team aspect of this position, we will be asking you to be on the clock during standard PST business hours to start. The company is home-based in Los Angeles, CA and operates during standard normal PST hours. This is a part-time $22 an hour contractor position to start. Expect to start working 8-10 hours each week with our social media strategist and founder to get you trained up and rolling on our process! This position has an opportunity to scale to additional weekly hours as marketing needs organically evolve. WHO WE ARE: The mission of Marisella Bodrero coaching is to help liberate Black and Latina women who are on the journey of ending generational cycles. We educate women to see what is possible by providing the best educational tools and mentorship through our signature 12-week break into tech bootcamp-style program. Marisella has over 12 years of training in tech, coaching cohorts, and speaking. You will learn a lot about social media strategies that support an education-based content creator. You are obsessed with Reels and Tik Toks! You have your favorite creators and are dialed into how it connects their communities. Your style is edgy with a creative perspective about social media. You’re keeping up with the latest creator trends even in your spare time! You appreciate direct feedback without it being personal. You are smart, efficient, and always double-checking your work. Your heart lights up on fire when you think about changing representation in tech. You care about Black and Latina women building generational wealth and our messaging fuels your creative spirit inside. You have a basic understanding of the online coaching industry and creator spaces. You do what you say you will and show up when you say you will–on time! You are prepared to ask strategic questions in meetings and come up with solutions to offer. This person has to carry a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and not let ego get in the way of meeting the end goal. You are a kind, intentional, and conscious human. You like to invest in all things that center around self-love, spiritual growth, and bringing powerful communities together. This is not for you if: If you have a hard time asking for help, struggle to ask clarifying questions, or struggle to bring suggestions. Probably not a fit if you’re highly sensitive to feedback. If you think you know everything about social media in the creator and community building spaces. We will give you the blueprint to be successful in this role. This is not for someone who wants a 100% “hands-off” approach. You struggle with controversial content with the systemic and mental health issues that face Black/Latina women breaking into technology. If you struggle with things like Google Docs, Airtable, Canva, or other social media technology. Don't like receiving feedback and fast decisions. WHAT YOU DO: Your role with the team is to support us in moving the needle forward in content disruption throughout all relevant social platforms. Your daily tasks will be centered around supporting us in execution, copywriting, editing videos for our clients’ social media pages. We mainly utilize our Instagram, TikTok & LinkedIn accounts while knowing our future plans have YouTube included. Our major focus is on Instagram & TikTok at the current moment. Responsibilities: Posting content live to all relevant social platforms (TikTok) Scheduling content using a social media scheduling tool Support responding to comments & DMs Support making IG stories in Canva to promote client events & programs Updating & researching relevant hashtags Pulling data & analytics monthly from Instagram, Facebook, & TikTok Ability to push posts live manually when needed (IGTV, IG Stories, TikToks, etc) Support with whatever the team might need in relation to social media! Repurposing content to help us maximize reach across all relevant platforms Support with timestamping lives, coaching calls, & older videos for repurposing them to bite-sized social media posts - we use ClipScribe to make the clips ready for social We will be able to train you and support you with this part Eventually, we will have you write copy for our pages based on past content We will start out giving you guidelines for exactly what needs to be written, but we are looking for someone who understands social media copy who can really support us in this role. Requirements: Understanding of social media platforms Very comfortable using TikTok, Instagram, Instagram Stories, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn etc Previous experience running social media accounts Can take feedback without taking it personally Proficient in Google Suite (Specifically Google Sheets, Docs, Drive, & Slides) Proficient in Canva Understand Black and Latina millennial and genz culture with music, trends, and communication Additional Preferences: Graphic Design abilities with edgy style You have an iPhone YouTube understanding of how the coaching + expert industry works. General idea on how these spaces operate Chance to grow fast within our woman-owned company. You will see the roots come to fruition through our social strategy and learn a lot Working with a DOPE team! Seriously we blast Beyonce and Selena before meetings to make sure the vibe is right Remote work from anywhere! We trust you!
