Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Paralegal with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience for our Washington, DC office. Experience in litigation related matters, including Intellectual Property matters, as well as matters pending before the International Trade Administration and/or the Department of Commerce strongly preferred.Primary ResponsibilitiesParticipate in due diligence, privilege and other reviews of client records and files.Assist with organization of client materials and attorney work product, including use of databases, imaging systems and other computer-based technology.Assist with statutory, regulatory or factual research with respect to client matters, including investigation of federal or state laws and regulations, relevant markets, corporate participants and industry standards and practices.Compiling, preparing, and summarizing relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery.Indexing, tracking, and controlling case related materials including maintaining project activity in chronological order.Reviewing documents for relevance and inclusion in case file.Assist with the preparation of court filings, including cite and fact checking legal briefs, cross-reference checks, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading, and assembling of exhibits and appendices.Tracking and controlling document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery).Working closely and directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of active matters.Additional responsibilities include supporting attorneys during trial, including assistance with creation of demonstratives and courtroom presentation/support.Skills & AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively and professionally both in oral and written form.Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Ability to work independently and take initiative.Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality and provide outstanding customer service to internal and external clients/contacts.Working knowledge of office accounting methods and techniques, including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, as well as the ability to learn other programs.Proven ability to conduct independent research.Compose and disseminate correspondence as required.QualificationsBA or BS degree strongly preferred.Associate's degree or paralegal certificate with ten years of comparable work experience required.Ability to multitask using analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment with competing demands.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrate flexibility regarding client and legal team requests.Achieve high level of productivity.Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.Work Environment & Physical DemandsThis job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
