The candidate provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. The candidate will develop, enhance and maintain software code as assigned and will contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects.Duties:Designs, implement, test, and maintain software applications and related libraries in various software languagesProduce documentation for work productsReports status including schedule progress and problems/issuesContributes to and/or ensures the completion of milestones associated with specific projectsSolves problems which are varied, may be related to multiple issues, and may not be clear. If no precedent exists, complex problems may require research and analysis of alternatives involving many factorsWork with hardware in a lab setting, and debugging using lab equipmentRequirements:BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with 2-5 years experienceAbility to work independently, learn new tasks/handle multiple tasks, solve problems, meet deadlines, and show strong self-motivation and initiativeFamiliar with Object Oriented Design (OOD), design patterns, UML and coding standardsIntermediate understanding of one or more Programming Languages such as C, C++, JavaScript, NodeJSUnderstanding of modern software development practices and software life-cycle management with experience using software development tool, issue management systems and source code control systemsExperience with LINUX, and building, deploying and running containerized applicationsFamiliar with developing web-based applications, event-driven programming, REST programmingImage processing experience a plusYou will be part of a highly skilled team and need to interface with other team members, including those of other organizations. Additional job duties could include systems level requirements analysis, design, and proposal input.
